Abstract

The obstacles of community debelopment in developing countries are low socioeconomic status that causes ignorancy, inability, and low productivity. However, the community can survive since they have the potential of coping with their minimum sources and skills. Such potential in the community must be developed using their own resources. The limitation of funding and manpower from the Government for health activities causes inequality in health care service distributiion. Using the community members as part of its health activity will stimulate the optimum usage the community potential to cope with the problem of sparsity in health care. Community health workers will bridge out the health gap disparsities between those who can afford  health care and those who cannot. These health workers must be members of the community, work closely with local authority and also get appropriate training of knowledge and skills in dealing with health problems individual, house-hold and community based health problems. Work principles of community health workers are to give health care service in their community, to help the community identify their own health needs and solve their health problems in the first hand.
